Responsibilities

• Receives work orders for routine or preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Determines the nature of the problem and ensures that repairs are completed in a timely manner.
• Performs non-technical repairs.
• Demonstrates effective customer service skills promoting a positive work environment and contributes to the overall team effort.
• Understands and applies all policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
• 1-3 years of general maintenance and operations experience (required).
• Knowledge of general maintenance and repair methods.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers.
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Ability to organize tasks and maintain control of work flow.
• Must be able to pass a DOT background check based on work facility.

Physical Demands

The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination.

• Heavy work - exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently.
• Close visual acuity required for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading.
• Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work (e.g., custodial, food services, general laborer) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (e.g., security guard, inspection).
