About the Role
As an O&M Field Technician Tech 1, you will assist other site technicians in the routine maintenance of inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, trackers, modules, and other solar site equipment. This role is designed to help you improve your knowledge and skills in the solar industry while working closely with trained personnel.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair inverters, trackers, and other systems on site.
- Perform routine testing and repair of DC electrical circuits.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment.
- Manage on-site inventory and equipment.
- Ensure site safety and security.
- Perform electrically safe testing procedures on all components before maintenance begins.
- Log and record all maintenance activities performed.
- Adhere to all site safety requirements, including LOTO, PPE, and safe working practices.
- Perform additional solar site activities as required.
Requirements
- Basic Microsoft Office software experience (e.g., Outlook, Excel).
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles.
- Basic understanding of common hand tools.
- 1+ years of solar experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs.
- Knowledge of electrical testing equipment (multimeter, IV Curve Tracer, etc.).
- Basic SCADA system monitoring and application experience.
- Medium and high electrical voltage experience.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Ability to work mostly in an outside environment.
- Lifting items greater than 35 pounds.
- Walking on uneven ground and navigating rough terrain.
- Ability to handle temperature extremes.
- Able to wear and safely utilize all required PPE.
Pay
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour.
