About the role

Amazon’s network is a key differentiator for Amazon Cloud Computing and Web Services (AWS), enabling the global operation of thousands of applications across a highly complex global infrastructure. The AWS Networking team develops and operates the network platform for all of Amazon including e-commerce products and cloud computing solutions. This platform is industry-leading for its efficiency, throughput and reliability, and it is critical to the success of hundreds of thousands of AWS customers.

Responsibilities

Own the resources responsible for planning, configuring and deploying network infrastructure in new AWS data centers.
Drive the strategy to innovate and optimize our new deployments while instilling the highest level of operational excellence in tools and processes.
Ensure the right resources/structure is in place to proactively stay ahead of our capacity demands while applying thinking around capital efficiency.
Collaborate with our engineering and operations teams on new solutions and designs.
Own all aspects of people management.

Requirements

1+ years of computer networking experience
2+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or experience related IT
2+ years of computer networking experience, or experience in similar technical or vocational roles
1+ years of Linux operating systems experience, or experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Networking Engineering)
Can lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances
Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
