About the Role

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall satisfaction and well-being of residents at Breakers, our multifamily apartment community in Las Vegas, NV. This position involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including unit turnovers, work orders, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs, while delivering exceptional customer service to create a comfortable living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform apartment maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing items such as:
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical systems
    • Appliances
    • Air conditioning
  • Assist with preparing vacant apartments for occupancy and apartment turnovers.
  • Participate in community maintenance duties, including building maintenance, preventative maintenance, service request completion, groundskeeping, and other assigned tasks.
  • Respond to emergency calls after scheduled work hours, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one to two years of related maintenance experience and/or training.
  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for helping people.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and positively with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws.
  • Capable of frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, occasionally moving or maneuvering up to 100 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must provide and use your own hand tools to perform required duties unless otherwise specified by the property.
  • Effective problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Good attention to detail and a team-player attitude.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule

Full-time (8-hour shift, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime).
