About the Role
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall satisfaction and well-being of residents at Breakers, our multifamily apartment community in Las Vegas, NV. This position involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including unit turnovers, work orders, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs, while delivering exceptional customer service to create a comfortable living environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform apartment maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing items such as:
- Plumbing
- Electrical systems
- Appliances
- Air conditioning
- Assist with preparing vacant apartments for occupancy and apartment turnovers.
- Participate in community maintenance duties, including building maintenance, preventative maintenance, service request completion, groundskeeping, and other assigned tasks.
- Respond to emergency calls after scheduled work hours, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one to two years of related maintenance experience and/or training.
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for helping people.
- Ability to communicate effectively and positively with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws.
- Capable of frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, occasionally moving or maneuvering up to 100 pounds.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must provide and use your own hand tools to perform required duties unless otherwise specified by the property.
- Effective problem-solving and time management skills.
- Good attention to detail and a team-player attitude.
Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule
Full-time (8-hour shift, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime).
