Nutritional Associate - Hospital (per diem)
About the Role
Responsible for working on the nutrition services tray line, assembling, retrieving, and cleaning patient trays. Deliver trays to patients and assist them with their orders as needed. May also assist in other areas of the kitchen, such as the dish room or restocking food and beverages.
This is a per diem, part-time position with hours from 4:00 – 8:30 pm, including rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Work on the nutrition services tray line, assembling and retrieving patient trays
- Deliver trays to patients and assist them with their orders as needed
- Clean patient trays and assist in the dish room
- Restock food and beverages
- Perform duties in a high-functioning kitchen environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency is required
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English
- Ability to multi-task and complete work without supervision in a timely manner
- Prior customer-service and food handling experience highly preferred
- Excellent customer-service skills; ability to be patient, respectful, and compassionate to patients
- Basic computer knowledge
- Basic knowledge related to hospital diets
- Comfortable cleaning trays and assisting in the dish room
- Previous healthcare or nutrition experience preferred
