Nutrition Services Associate - Secondary 4.5 hours/day

Qualifications: High school graduate or GED holder; basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills; ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds, stand for 3-6 hours, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions; experience in institutional food service operations and/or school foodservice; completed Serve Safe course and passed exam with 70% accuracy or higher within 1 year of hire date; previous point of sale experience preferred; ability to work independently and manage time efficiently; demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a diverse school community.

Responsibilities

• Comply with food service manager's instructions on production, preparation, and service of food
• Account for meals (reimbursement and ala carte sales)
• Clean-up kitchen, serving area, cafeteria, and dishroom
• Handle, prepare, store, and serve food safely
• Process students through breakfast and lunch lines using computerized point of sale equipment
• Work cooperatively with other employees
• Attend job-related training classes and workshops
• Interact with students in a positive and professional manner

Pay

According to contractual agreement (based on 2025-26 contract): $20.23 - $22.74 hourly
