Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient meal service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, and in-between meal food delivery.
• Communicate patient food issues, concerns, and needs to team members within the department.
• Interact with nursing employees regarding patient nutrition needs or requirements.
• React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services and accuracy of physician-ordered modified diets.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred
• 1 year of previous food service or customer service experience Required
• Previous experience in applying the various diets used in a hospital setting Preferred
• SAFE Serve Certification Required
• ServSafe certification Preferred
