Nutrition Assistant I
About the Role
As our Nutrition Assistant I at CHI St. Vincent, you will directly interact with patients and visitors every day. You will ensure all dining areas are safely sanitized, well-stocked, and food is appropriately prepared. You will serve patients, families, and staff nutritious food that promotes health and healing, taking individual likes, dislikes, and dietary restrictions into account.
Responsibilities
- Set up trays for hospital patients following posted menus and requests from the patient room service program.
- Collect dirty trays and dishes from patient care areas and clean them using an automatic dishwasher.
- Return cleaned dishes to proper storage areas.
- Ensure all food handling areas are sanitized and disinfected for the safety of employees, patients, and guests.
- Exhibit a high degree of knowledge in food preparation and food production.
- Accurately portion meals and beverages, paying attention to dietary restrictions.
- Support team members in all areas of food services, including cashiering, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, and food storage.
Requirements
- One (1) year of food service or customer service experience.
- High school graduate or GED (preferred).
- Cashier experience (preferred).

Pay
$15.00 - $19.65 per hour.
