Nutrition Aide - Food and Nutrition - Per Diem

About the role

To be an active member of the Food & Nutrition team, providing the best possible food service to patients, employees, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of high school education
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral communication

Skills

• Cash register/POS experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a friendly, pleasant, and outgoing manner to patients, visitors, and staff
• Answer the telephone promptly and identify department and self
• Assemble food items and stock station according to tally sheet and inventory needs
• Portion food items according to daily menus, standard items, and portion control
• Operate POS/cash register efficiently and demonstrate awareness of handling money correctly
• Calculate total monies received and compile daily register reports
• Scrape and wash all dishware according to department sanitation procedures
• Transport food carts to and from designated areas on patient floors in a safe and timely manner
• Collect all trash in the kitchen and cafeteria
• Scrub and sanitize all pots and pans and place them in the designated area

Pay

$17.47 - $24.26/hour, dependent on experience
