About the role
The Barron Center, owned and operated by the City of Portland, is Maine’s largest skilled nursing facility. We recently opened a new unit for 40 residents and continue to grow. This is your chance to lead a dedicated nursing management team and make a difference in the lives of our residents.
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing and licensure as an RN in Maine, additional education in gerontology preferred.
- Management and supervisory experience in long-term care required.
- Possess ability to make independent decisions as circumstances dictate.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and the general public.
- Ability to supervise, educate, orient and mentor staff.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and respectful workplace.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness and ability to provide direct services to residents.
Salary & Benefits
This is a non-union position (Grade C44) - Salary range starting at $83,072 annually. The City of Portland offers:
