Responsibilities
- Oversee direct nursing care to patients on your 38 bed half long term care, half sub-acute unit.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the nursing staff, communicating clearly with all staff to assure continuity of care, updating nursing team and families with changes in patient condition.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Collaborate in planning, teaching and evaluating staff development programs for the unit.
- Make daily rounds on unit to evaluate patient status and staff performance.
Requirements
- LPN Nursing Certificate or RN Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Long term care experience preferred.
- Active license to practice as a Nurse in Massachusetts.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Good communication and people skills.
Pay
The pay range for this position is between $48 to $60 per hour, based on years of experience and licensure.
