Responsibilities
- Oversee Nursing Department
- Perform all functions under your active license as it pertains to your assigned duties
- Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician
- Create and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel
- Develop & maintain a warm and collaborative environment
- Receive/give the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours
- Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life
- Adequately communicate with clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change
- Approach and care for residents with dementia
- Willing to take on other duties and assignments within the scope of your knowledge and experience
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current unencumbered state license
- Knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
- Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
- Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
