Nursing Triage and MPAR Manager

Role Overview

The Manager of Nursing Triage oversees and leads the triage and medication prior authorization/refill teams, ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and healthcare staff, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate schedules for nursing teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Oversee patient triage and MPAR processes, prioritizing patient needs and resource allocation.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, participate in audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage departmental resources, including staffing and budgeting, aligned with KPIs.
• Facilitate ongoing staff education, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care and meet organizational metrics.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Current RN license in Illinois and BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills.
