About the role

To provides nursing care to a patient or group of patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes assignments in consultation with the RN.
  • Communicates with patients, visitors and coworkers within the scope of his/her responsibilities in a courteous manner.
  • Demonstrates compliance with identified policies and procedures in carrying out unit assignments i.e., stocking, equipment maintenance.
  • Follows mini-protocols.
  • Maintains computer skills ie, Eclipys and Cerner, enters orders/patient charges and Emerge data.
  • Utilizes supplies and equipment in a cost efficient and proper manner ie., stocking and maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Is a Nursing Assistant or an EMT in the State of Connecticut.

Qualifications

  • Zero to six months of experience.

Skills

  • Computer skills (Eclipys and Cerner).
  • Stocking and maintenance of equipment.

$17.00 - $28.50 hourly.

Schedule

Rotating weekends and holidays; Two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts per week between the hours of 7:00am and 11:00pm.
