Position Summary

The ER Tech acts as an adjunct to registered nursing and support staff in providing clinical care as approved by their licensure. They provide support to peers, patients, and their families. All aspects of the ER Tech's performance support service excellence and a healing environment. The ER Tech identifies and communicates needed unit resources or equipment to the appropriate person in charge.

Physical Requirements

  • This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
  • The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, make sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
  • Able to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.

Threshold Requirements

  • Annuar Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
