Emergency Room Technician - Full Time Nights
About the role
The Emergency Room Technician performs direct and indirect patient care functions under the supervision of appropriately licensed personnel. This position assists patients with personal care needs, participates in the plan of care, collects test specimens, performs phlebotomy, EKGs, and splinting, and supports the care team.
Responsibilities
- Assists patients with personal care needs

- Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, and splinting as required
- Aids customers in a friendly, prompt, and caring manner
- Works collaboratively with the care team to meet customer needs and support team objectives
Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent
- Ability to read, speak, and write English
- BLSHCP required
- Successful completion of phlebotomy course and/or certification preferred
- CPI training required within 1 year of hire or transfer into the role, or until 10/31/25 for existing employees in the role
- Minimum 1 year direct patient care experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members
- Ability to be flexible, set priorities, solve problems, and use proper judgment in difficult situations
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire
Qualifications
- Educational background: High School degree or equivalent; EMT or Certified Nurse Assistant program preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: BLSHCP required; phlebotomy course and/or certification preferred; CPI training required within 1 year of hire or transfer into the role, or until 10/31/25 for existing employees in the role

Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically full-time, with hours varying depending on the needs of the Emergency Room. Shifts may include day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays.
