Nursing Tech - Night Shift

Ranked among the nation’s best rehabilitation hospitals and the top physical rehab provider in Virginia by U.S. News & World Report, the Institute seeks a Nursing Tech to join the night shift team (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.). The Nursing Tech works alongside nurses, doctors, therapists, and medical psychologists to provide direct, age‑specific care to patients based on medical orders and the plan of care as directed by a licensed practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with medical orders and the plan of care.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and medical psychologists as part of the care team.
- Assist with age‑specific patient needs throughout the night shift.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation as a nursing assistant or aide.
Requirements
- Completion of a state‑recognized CNA program.
- Nurse Aide licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS HCP certification or equivalent.
Pay
Compensation range: $17.00 – $26.00 per hour. Night or weekend shifts are eligible for shift differential pay, with rates varying by shift hours and added to the base hourly rate. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.
Schedule
Night shift: 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. (weekends eligible for differential pay).
