About the role
A Nursing Tech provides patient care procedures under supervision and operates monitoring systems in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient data.
- Transport patients as needed.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, positioning, and ambulation.
- Participate in nutritional support, wound care, and dressing changes.
- Insert and remove tubes, perform bedside testing (e.g., ECG, glucometry), and operate patient monitoring devices.
- Support oxygen therapy, apply restraints, and transport specimens.
- Document all care accurately, maintain charts, and ensure cleanliness and supply stocking.
- Perform basic clerical duties and communicate shift information.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hospital or long-term care experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Nursing students with clinical skills lab experience preferred.
