Hiring, Training, Supporting, Disciplining and Evaluating Nursing Staff

This involves overseeing the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing staff to ensure they provide high-quality care.

Aid in P&P, SOP, and Patient Education Development

Supports the development of policies and procedures (P&P), standard operating procedures (SOP), and patient education materials to improve clinical operations and patient outcomes.

Assist in Goal Setting for the Clinical Service

Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to set goals for the clinical service and works towards achieving these goals.

Lead Efforts Towards Continuous Process Improvement

Facilitates initiatives aimed at improving processes and outcomes within the clinical service to meet regulatory standards and enhance patient care.

Assure Regulatory Compliance

Ensures adherence to all relevant regulations and standards, including but not limited to those related to patient safety, infection control, and data privacy.

Further the Practice of Nursing

Uses current evidence to support changes in nursing practice through committee work and project involvement, aiming to advance the profession and improve patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Nursing degree, either ADN or BSN
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or current NLC multistate license (MSL)
  • Minimum 2 years as a RN depending on the clinical specialty
  • 1 year of previous leadership experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven project management skills and committee experience
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (EMR, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to work under pressure related to work/time deadlines
  • Ability to provide feedback about staff performance to staff
  • Strong teaching ability
  • Ability to lead committees

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN or Master's degree in nursing or related field
  • Active nursing specialty certification with a Fred Hutch-recognized certification
  • Outpatient experience

Pay Range

The annual base salary range for this position is from $126,984.00 to $200,678.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
