Job Summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a Nursing Supervisor at Beloit Memorial Hospital. Key details include a sign-on bonus, 3rd shift, 12-24 hours per week, benefits eligibility, and departmental location.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and direct nursing teams. - Assist with staffing and assignments, placing patients in beds, triaging patient needs, and managing bed placement. - Triage phone calls from various sources, including providers, other facilities, and families. - Obtain medications and supplies as needed. - Respond to Rapid Response Teams (RRTs), Medical Emergency Assistance Teams (MEAs), and alerts/codes. - Enter surgical cases into the EMR and call on-call staff as necessary. - Support and educate nursing staff. - Provide clinical evaluations, treatments, and patient care as required.

Requirements

- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree. BSN or higher preferred. - State of Wisconsin or multistate nursing licensure required, with WI licensure requested within 30 days. - BLS certification within three months of hire, ACLS certification within six months. - Prior supervisory experience is preferred. - Excellent communication and collaborative skills. - Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly. - Telemetry training within six months of hire. - Strong understanding of Beloit Health System policies. - Completion of a pre-placement physical examination. - Physical capabilities including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and pushing carts weighing up to 200 pounds. - Effective communication and counseling skills. - Ability to interpret and apply policies appropriately across different patient age groups. - Demonstrated ability to perform clinical tasks for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. - Successful completion of a physical examination.

Qualifications
