Nursing Supervisor - Med Surg Tele

Job Summary

Shift: Nights
Job Type: Part Time

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and organizational/leadership skills to coordinate services of staff to patients during the designated shift.
• Affirms patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served.
• Assesses staff need for the unit, collaborates with the staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to ensure patient’s needs are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Minimum Experience/Skills: Minimum of three (3) years acute care/telemetry experience or, equivalent RN skills as described for designated unit
• Licenses/Certificates/Credentials: Current California RN license, Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA certified), Current ACLS certification (AHA certified), Current CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (within 3 months of hire/ transfer)

• Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and bloodborne diseases
• Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
• Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness)
• Emergency and crisis situations
• Subject to irregular hours
• Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
• Occasional exposure to radiation hazards, radioactive substances, and biohazards
