Responsibilities
- Practice professional nursing under the supervision of a licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse, with "supervision" defined as physical presence in the practice area or unit where the intern is providing patient care.
- Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process within the scope of practice as determined by the state board of nursing and organizational policies and procedures.
- Be responsible and accountable for the care provided to assigned patients and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Communicate changes in the patient’s clinical condition to the supervising licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse and the physician, including vital signs, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and other related symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
- Document all relevant data in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) preferred.
Schedule
Per Diem, variable shift.
