About the role
Working in the Office of Student Accounts and reporting to the Associate Director and Team Lead, this position is responsible for managing the tuition process for Post University’s American Sentinel College of Nursing. The role supports the Lead in maintaining high service standards, providing excellent customer service to students, and utilizing problem-solving skills to promote student success and retention. It also handles all administrative tasks related to student accounts, including collections, payment plans, account adjustments, billing, invoicing, and data entry, while ensuring compliance with internal and federal financial aid policies.
Responsibilities
- Regularly audit and adjust billing files to ensure accuracy and compliance with institutional policies.
- Review and post tuition and fees to the ledger.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and laws to ensure compliance.
- Promptly respond to customer service issues and concerns.
- Perform all data entry for student accounts, including entering comments to students' records.
- Work closely with all departments to assist students with their financing and advising needs.
- Communicate with new, continuing, and inactive students on payment completion requirements.
- Prepare payment plans for tuition and fees.
- Contact students to collect outstanding balance requirements.
- Review and process credit balances.
- Translate data into actionable insights for decision-making by Student Accounts leadership.
- Post payments received from third-party vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and/or one to two years of customer service experience is required.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet applications, and database software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter and multitask effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Energetic, goal-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
