Nursing Staffing Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage the nursing schedule to ensure exceptional patient care.
• Perform various clerical duties using excellent organizational skills.
• Work with nursing leaders to identify improvements in nursing department staffing.
• Assist and advise supervisors with any problems related to the nursing schedule.
• Ensure employee/contract/student files comply with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
• Provide scheduling of educational opportunities to nursing staff.
• Under CNO supervision, schedule, coordinate, and inform nursing staff of their assigned schedule.
• Advise supervisors of staffing ratio problems.
• Draft professional and appropriate letters, emails, reports, and presentations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee personal and financial data.

Qualifications

• A high school education or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in staffing or scheduling within a hospital setting is preferred.
