About the role

This position will provide administrative and analytic support to the Nursing Program in the School of Applied Health. It reports to the Dean of the College, with oversight to the Nursing Director and School of Applied Health Department Chair.

Responsibilities

  • Accreditation and Academic Program Review – 20%
  • Compliance – 10%
  • Student Support – 15%
  • Scheduling and Event Coordination – 10%
  • Program Marketing, Promotion, and Communication – 20%
  • Administrative Duties – 20%
  • Other duties as Assigned – 5%

Requirements

This is a temporary, full-time, benefited, exempt, 12-month pay plan in Applied Health Department. Qualifications

  • Education equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university.
  • Five years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of office systems, methods and procedures.
  • Full understanding of the supportive role of an executive assistant and the ability to operationalize.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve the goals set by the Chancellor's Office, the University, and Office of Academic Affairs, and the College of Professional Studies.
  • Ability to take a leadership role in coordinating the administrative and managerial tasks involving all areas of responsibility.
  • Skill in investigating and analyzing administrative/managerial related problems.
  • Ability to define problem areas, collect data, do preliminary analyses, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, and performing work where diversified demands are involved.

Skills

  • Effective communication with a diverse population.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program and/or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program and/or administrative specialty.
  • Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques.
  • Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
  • Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form.
  • Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.

Pay

$5,274 – $7,684 per month (Step 1- Step 20), Anticipated Hiring Range: $5,274- $5,488 per month (Step 1-3).

Schedule

This is a temporary, full-time, benefited, exempt, 12-month pay plan in Applied Health Department.
