Summary The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner at St. Joseph’s Hospital-South supports the Emergency Room (ER), Emergency Department Observation Unit (EDOU), and Administrators on Duty (AODs). This role develops and leads education that strengthens clinical competency, evidence-based practice, quality outcomes, and professional growth across these teams. Your Role Within The Team Develop and evaluate education that supports clinical excellence and professional developmentFacilitate orientation, onboarding, and ongoing competency developmentServe as a resource for evidence-based practice, clinical education, and emergency nursing carePartner with nursing leaders to support patient safety, quality improvement, and practice advancementProvide guidance on competencies, certification opportunities, and professional developmentPromote engagement, lifelong learning, and continuous practice improvementPerform Registered Nurse functions and other duties as assigned, as needed Qualifications Required BSN with 3 years of clinical experienceClinical nursing experience in Emergency Nursing or Emergency Department Observation, Preferred Professional organization certificationANPD certificationEmergency and/or observation nursing experiencePrevious education, preceptor, mentoring, or leadership experience Location: St. Joseph’s Hospital-South Status Full Time, Exempt: Yes Shift Hours Varies Shift Shift 4 Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies Weekend Work Occasional On Call No
