About the role
The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Generalist supports healthcare education in an inter-professional environment, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate learning by designing educational programs to address knowledge and skill gaps identified through assessments.
- Act as a change agent to promote process improvements.
- Mentor and contribute to the professional development of team members.
- Lead initiatives to influence inter-professional practice and learning environments.
- Encourage scientific inquiry, promote knowledge generation, and advocate evidence-based practice.
- Partner in practice transitions and promote a culture of lifelong learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Current nursing license in Texas and Basic Life Support certification.
- NPD Certification or Certified Nurse Educator preferred.
- Minimum of three years' clinical nursing experience.
- Application of adult education theories.
