About the Role
Responsible for the 24-hour management of a patient care unit, service, or program, ensuring quality care and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care delivery
- Develop staffing plans
- Manage budgets and human resources
- Oversee staff performance, education, and research activities
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop quality indicators and monitor care standards
- Lead performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure availability of appropriate supplies and training tailored to patient populations
- Lead short-term and long-term projects
- Set unit goals and evaluate performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or diploma/Associate degree with agreement to pursue BSN/MSN)
- Three years of RN experience, including two in relevant areas
- Current RN license
- Nursing management or supervisory experience preferred
- Certification in nursing specialty is a plus
Supervisory Role
Direct and/or indirect supervision of staff, including hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
Schedule
Day shift in Richland location.
