About the role

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada, is seeking a Nursing Laboratory Coordinator to manage the nursing teaching laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Manage the nursing laboratory, including scheduling, supplies, and equipment for the nursing program.
• Assist with organization of laboratory activities.
• Serve as a resource and provide technical support for faculty regarding all equipment, software, and patient simulators.
• Purchase supplies and equipment for the nursing program with budget approval and review by the Director of Nursing.
• Organize, set up, and take down student laboratory experiences.
• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Manage laboratory supplies and student software study resources.
• Transport and lift equipment, including heavy mannequins and supplies.
• Demonstrate appreciation, sensitivity, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying backgrounds.
• Understand and fulfill the role as a partner in an educational enterprise serving the best interests of students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of clinical experience OR Associate’s degree and three (3) years of clinical experience.
• LPN, RN, or EMT certification.
• Healthcare simulation experience.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical knowledge in a healthcare field.
• Knowledge of purchasing, finance, budgeting, and materials management.

Pay

$58,415 - $73,019. Initial salary placement will be dependent on education level and years of experience.
