About the role
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Nursing Supervisor for the Nursing Supervisors department at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, a fully accredited acute care hospital serving Ocean and Monmouth counties. Monmouth South is the only hospital in the region to provide private rooms on all inpatient units and offers specialized services including the Better Health Senior Membership Program, a state-of-the-art Geriatrics Institute, and expanded cancer services.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, adhering to ethical standards as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Ensure safety in practice, including reporting hazardous environments and medical errors.
- Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other patient care providers.
- Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes to drive improvement.
- Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care, individualizing plans to address specific patient needs.
- Maintain awareness of the patient population served and advance knowledge of self and others on the care team.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
- BLS and ACLS AHA certification.
- BSN required.
- Minimum one year of leadership experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- 2-3 years of acute care experience.
Pay
The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $54.51 - $70.87 per hour for candidates hired to work in New Jersey. Compensation will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
