About the role
The Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) at Presbyterian Senior Living is responsible for overseeing the health center's operations, ensuring high-quality care, effective staffing, and fiscal stability. This position requires active licensure or the ability to obtain it, along with relevant education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed occupancy and mix goals.
- Ensure the highest quality of care for all customers.
- Direct, coordinate, and supervise all activities within the Health Center.
- Collaborate on the annual budget and fiscal control to meet targets.
- Develop positive relationships and be accessible to all residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- Making recruitment recommendations and decisions.
- Participating in training, supervision, and discipline of staff.
- Completing performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Acting as a liaison between the community and all outside agencies.
- Endorsing the community positively to the greater community.
- Maintaining and preparing records and reports as required by policies and regulations.
- Safeguarding resident rights and facilitating smooth transitions within the community.
- Acting as a catalyst for quality improvement.
- Performing daily rounds on residents and staff.
- Promoting effective marketing and public relations.
- Remaining compliant with all federal, state, local, and corporate regulations.
Requirements
- Active Nursing Home Administrator’s state licensure or ability to obtain (based on state of operation) required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (nursing, healthcare administration, social service) preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Nursing Home Administrator or Assistant Nursing Home Administrator preferred.
- Three years experience in Long Term Care or healthcare preferred.
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
