Position Summary

The Arkansas State Veterans Home is seeking a Nursing Home Administrator to lead and oversee the operations of the facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for veterans and their dependents, while also managing the financial and administrative aspects of the facility.

Primary Responsibilities

The Nursing Home Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the nursing home, including staffing, budget management, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensuring the provision of high-quality care to veterans and their dependents, including coordination with medical staff, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
  • Managing the facility's finances, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
  • Collaborating with other departments within the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs to ensure seamless communication and support for veterans and their families.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to staff members, including training and development opportunities.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Licensure or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • At least five years of experience in healthcare administration or a related field.
