Key Job Responsibilities
- Develops departmental procedures & policies in accordance with governing statutes
- Makes sure business operations follow rules and regulations
- Ensures compliance with nursing home operations and licensure standards
- Makes sure medical reports, staffing, and procedures meet regulations and provide good care
- Schedules and oversees activities and rehabilitation programs
- Maintains positive relationships with residents, their families, and guardians
- Creates and reviews policies regarding residents' rights and the home's grievance procedure
- Prepares and implements plans to correct deficiencies found during surveys
- Maintains good relationships with various organizations and groups
- Develops and implements fire and disaster plans
- Evaluates and improves the financial program and budget
- Represents the Nursing Home Administrator on committees and attends meetings
- Engages the community and veteran groups about the Ohio Veterans Home
Requirements
Valid nursing home administrator's license as issued by Ohio Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators, Department of Health pursuant to Section 4751.02 of Revised Code.
