Nursing Faculty - Medical-Surgical (FT) - DuBois
About the role
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate theory and clinical courses, typically in fundamentals, adult health, behavioral health, geriatric, and medical/surgical topics. They will also develop curricula and assess learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate theory and clinical courses in various nursing specialties.
- Develop and update curricula based on best practices and educational standards.
- Absorb and assess learning outcomes to ensure student success.
- Engage with students both inside and outside the classroom through regular presence on the campus.
- Participate in meetings, committee work, advising, office hours, college events, and other activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Doctorate preferred (PhD, DNP, EdD) earned or in final semester/ABD with pending graduation date.
- Prior classroom and clinical teaching experience at the collegiate level strongly preferred.
- Valid, unencumbered license as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse in Pennsylvania required.
- Minimum 3-4 years of nursing experience, with at least two years in behavioral health nursing.

- Highly qualified nurse educators with medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Experience teaching at the collegiate level in relevant areas.
- Ability to develop and implement effective curricula.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule
The successful candidate will have a regular, full-time, 9-month appointment with primary teaching obligations during the core academic year from August – May.
