About the role

The Nursing Department of the University of South Dakota (USD) invites applications for a 9-month full-time nursing faculty position for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the Vermillion campus. This position includes responsibility for delivering high-quality classroom and clinical instruction; guiding students in the development of clinical judgment; and contributing to curriculum design and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality classroom and clinical instruction

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered RN license and eligibility for licensure in South Dakota
• Minimum of a master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program prior to starting the position

• Strong clinical expertise in medical surgical nursing
• Excellent communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Able to work collaboratively and independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical surgical nursing
• Experience teaching in a baccalaureate program
• Strong nursing background with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to work with technology
