About the role

The Arizona College of Nursing is seeking qualified individuals to join our dynamic team of educators and professionals. We are committed to transforming lives through nursing education and improving communities through the care provided by our graduates.

Responsibilities

  • Teach at least 36 credits annually in the classroom and clinical settings.
  • Design and implement a curriculum that addresses contemporary issues in nursing.
  • Evaluate student learning through various assessment tools.
  • Mentor students, develop success plans, and remediate "at-risk" students.
  • Oversee clinical adjuncts, facilitate clinical learning, and communicate with Course Lead Faculty.
  • Complete clinical site evaluations and adhere to institutional policies.
  • Participate in program admission, progression, and completion policies.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a graduate degree in a related discipline from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' work experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care.
  • Previous experience teaching in a registered nursing program at a college or university.
  • Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty.
  • A current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure relevant to the state of teaching location.

  • Knowledge of nursing practice and educational standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, clinical agency representatives, and faculty.
  • Experience with curriculum design, program evaluation, and program revision.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Compliance with state regulations and institutional policies.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect student privacy.
  • Proficiency in using technology for teaching and administrative tasks.
