James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing invites applications for a 12-month renewable term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice beginning April 1, 2027. The School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited Baccalaureate, Master's, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. This position will primarily support the Fast Flex BSN, a new initiative designed to operate during evenings and weekends, with a primarily precepted clinical model.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities for this position include teaching, scholarship, and professional, community, and/or university service. The role requires in-person teaching in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings for the BSN-Fast Flex pathway.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a graduate degree in Nursing is required.
- An active RN registration and the ability to obtain Virginia nursing licensure by the position's start date of April 1, 2027 are required.
- Candidates must have at least three years of recent clinical experience in adult health nursing.
- Teaching experience in higher education and flexibility to teach across a variety of topic areas is preferred.
