Nursing Director - Med/Surg

About the role

The Nursing Director is accountable for the comprehensive administration of key functions, roles, systems and processes in assigned areas of responsibility - for this role it will be Medical/Surgical Administration. The Nursing Director acts as a department head for the assigned area and provides key leadership for patient-centered care delivery and the Medical Center’s mission, vision and beliefs.

Responsibilities

• *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values. Keeps abreast of current clinical trends and technology for areas of responsibility and provides a system perspective for managers and staff.
• *Functions as Director for areas of responsibility ensuring alignment with the provision of patient care.
• *Assures that clinical staff resources and assignments are consistent with meeting patient care needs. Manages clinical emergencies and operates internal and external disaster plan.
• *Activates resources and integrates nursing services with other departments to foster patient-centered care.
