Nursing Department Coordinator - Emergency Room - Full Time
About the role
The Nursing Department Coordinator is responsible for performing clerical duties and assisting in the day-to-day functioning of the Emergency Care Center Department as assigned. An Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the staffing schedules
- Assist with time entry and payroll
- Prepare data and reports for meetings and management
- Assist licensed nursing staff in providing care to patients in the Emergency Care Center
- Support the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff
- Provide EKG monitoring for the Emergency Care Center
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered
- Previous administrative experience preferred
- One-year hospital or pre-hospital experience preferred
Qualifications
- Current license as an EMT through the Texas Department of Health or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
- Certified in BLS through the American Heart Association
Skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
