Nursing Clinical Adjunct Instructor

Job Description

The University of Mount Saint Vincent (UMSV) is seeking candidates for clinical teaching opportunities at our clinical facilities for our Bronx and Long Island City campus locations. The Adjunct Nursing Clinical Instructor is responsible for instructing Nursing students during their onsite clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Effectively provide clinical instruction and evaluation of Nursing students in one or more of the following clinical areas: Pediatric, Maternity, Medical/Surgical, Nursing, Psychiatric/Behavioral Health
• Show strong interpersonal, public speaking and writing skills
• Show past experience with teaching students or in a similar role
• Show demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems and work independently
• Show ability to represent the University in a professional manner
• Show ability to work with confidential information and exercise discretion
• Show ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, staff and leadership

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing
• An unencumbered RN license in New York State
• Show past experience with teaching students or in a similar role
• Show demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems and work independently

Benefits

The allotted salary for this position is $75 per hour.
