Job Summary
This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus. Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for an assigned group of patients across multiple units, including General Nursing Units, Special Care Areas, Maternal‑Child Units, Nursery, Pediatric, GI Lab, Chemical Dependent and Psychiatric Units, Emergency Unit, and Surgical Services. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High School Graduate or equivalent
- Preferred education: Completion of a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assisting course
- Preferred experience: 6 months in the healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures
- Required courses/completions: BLS (obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network) and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (to be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to the position)
