Nursing Assistant - Surgical/Med/Surg - Night Shift

Role: The Care Partner provides supportive patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, focusing on enhancing patient experience, assisting with daily living activities, and performing basic clinical tasks. Responsibilities: Partner with healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring safety, confidentiality, and dignity.Perform essential tasks such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, vital signs, and advanced skills like phlebotomy or Foley catheter removal based on unit needs.Assist with patient admissions, data entry, and unit supply management.Support team initiatives, participate in performance improvements, and transport supplies and medications.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, documenting care in electronic records and ensuring safety protocols.Maintain infection control standards, proper body mechanics, and a safe environment. Qualifications & Skills: High School diploma or equivalent; rising seniors in related fields preferred.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively both independently and within a team. Additional: Certifications in Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Tech are preferred. Must adapt to fast-paced environments, handle stress compassionately, and work collaboratively to support patient care.
