Nursing Assistant - Pediatrics

About the role

This position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department. Duties include maintaining a safe, hazard-free, clean environment that supports patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Communicate effectively with RNs and charge nurses to ensure patient needs are met.
• Perform tasks delegated by RNs and charge nurses to support patient care.

Requirements

• Completion of Medical Terminology course or successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.

Qualifications

• Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• 6 months of health care experience preferred.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a sterile environment.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Pay

• The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.

Schedule

• Full time, 36 hours per week; (3) 12-hour shifts weekly.
• Shift: Night.
