About the role
The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers in our multidisciplinary Oncology team.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Support the emotional and physical well-being of patients and their families
- Collaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, hematologists, and surgeons to address the physical and emotional effects of cancer
Requirements
- Current listing on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- OR be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student (completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program)
- Current BLS Provider Card (CPR)
Schedule
0.9 FTE (72 hours per two-week pay period) with rotating day and evening shifts, including every other weekend. Shifts are 8 hours.
