Nursing Assistant - Oncology
About the role
The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming tasks
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the RN
- Help patients with mobility and transfers
- Prepare and assist with meals
- Ensure patient rooms are clean and organized
- Support patients with medication administration as directed by the RN
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Requirements
- All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program.
- Must have current BLS Provider Card (CPR).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing program or relevant coursework

- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy
