Nursing Assistant (NA) - Full-Time Day Shift

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. Nursing Assistants (NA) are integral in delivering compassionate, excellent care.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• Preferred: Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

• $18.00 - $21.94 per hour, depending on years of experience

Schedule

• Full-Time Day Shift (12-hour shifts)
