Together, we serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Be a true partner with Registered Nurses, Nurse Technicians and more.

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Float to all units in the hospital such as Med-Surg, Critical Care, Psychiatry, Emergency Department or where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients
  • Ensure the delivery of meals and safe transport
  • Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure
  • Demonstrate teamwork and raise the bar for patient care

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or current enrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotation
  • Current BLS Training from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital

Schedule

Full-time day position (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist. 3 weekends a month required.

Pay

Salary Range: $24.61 - $26.46/hour
