Nursing Assistant, Certified, Long Term Care

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs recording.
• Support psychosocial well-being and personal care, including transfers, repositioning, and exercises.
• Contribute to meal preparation, assist with feeding, and promote positive dining experiences.
• Document resident interactions, communicate condition changes, and support wellness and recreational activities.
• Perform housekeeping, laundry, and safety-related tasks to maintain a clean environment.
• Support procedures, gather specimens, and assist with resident mobility and comfort.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; training provided if needed.
• Ability to complete annual competency testing and continuing education (minimum 12 hours/year).
• Knowledge of infection prevention, PPE use, and resident care best practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• State-specific certifications, valid driver’s license (if applicable), and medical clearance for driving responsibilities.
