Responsibilities
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
- Assist with activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs recording.
- Support psychosocial well-being and personal care, including transfers, repositioning, and exercises.
- Contribute to meal preparation, assist with feeding, and promote positive dining experiences.
- Document resident interactions, communicate condition changes, and support wellness and recreational activities.
- Perform housekeeping, laundry, and safety-related tasks to maintain a clean environment.
- Support procedures, gather specimens, and assist with resident mobility and comfort.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; training provided if needed.
- Ability to complete annual competency testing and continuing education (minimum 12 hours/year).
- Knowledge of infection prevention, PPE use, and resident care best practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- State-specific certifications, valid driver’s license (if applicable), and medical clearance for driving responsibilities.
