Nursing Assistant

About the role

The expected base pay range for this position is $18.50-$23.90 per hour. YesCare is seeking candidates for full-time, part-time, and PRN positions. Shift hours are 8 hours, with rotating weekends. The full-time position offers 40 hours a week, while part-time positions offer 32 hours a week. Both full-time and part-time positions are eligible for benefits and shift differentials.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Support and Training: Collaborate with teams to identify clinical knowledge and skill gaps. Assist in creating and implementing clinical education plans. Participate in quality improvement (QI) projects and initiatives.
• Patient Care: Measure and record vital signs, height, and weight; report findings to the Registered Nurse (RN). Monitor and report changes in inmate health status to the RN. Collect specimens and measure fluid intake/output as directed by the RN. Assist inmates with activities of daily living (ADLs), hygiene, and meals. Provide skin care and monitor for signs of breakdown.
• Mobility and Assistance: Safely transfer inmates between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs. Escort inmates to medical services within the facility.
• Medical Supplies and Equipment: Sterilize medical supplies and equipment, ensuring autoclaves are tested as scheduled. Maintain and monitor medical supply and medication inventories. Inspect and ensure functionality of emergency medical equipment daily.
• Administrative Tasks: Complete and process medical summaries and reports. Conduct QI activities through medical record reviews. Perform data entry and assist with optometry services. Handle other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: At least one (1) year of nursing assistant experience required. Requires Direct Patient Care experience as a P.C.A, H.H.A, C.N.A, Direct Support, and P.C.T.
• Certification: Current CPR certification is required.

• Candidates must successfully pass a background check, security clearance, and drug screening.
