Nurses Aide - Cardiac Medicine -Full time Days
About the role
Be an advocate, a care taker, and a friend to patients. Nurses Aide positions at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. You will work alongside Nurses, ICU Technicians, and others to ensure the delivery of meals and safe transport.
Responsibilities
- Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients
- Ensure the delivery of meals to patients
- Perform select care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure
- Provide compassionate patient focus and improve the patient experience
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment
Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a certified nurses aide
- Previous Nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program
- Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
